Fashion Design Intern
Responsibilities
- Assist lead designer to to create sketches and product prototypes throughout the conceptual design process
- Assist lead designer to create official tech packs to be sent to patternmaker
- Assist lead designer to develop color palettes and approve lab-dips
- Assist lead designer to oversee selection of fabric and trim
- Research trends and direction through relevant market research
Qualifications
*Understand fashion design, constructions, patterns, sewing techniques and high management skill
*Must proficient in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
*Must know how to use sewing machine and hand-sewing
*Must communicate clearly
*Understand high pressure, fast pace, time management and critical thinking
* Must be based in New York/New Jersey Metro area and able to work remotely from time to time
* Mandarin speaking is strongly preferred
